Trends from Milan Fashion week A/W 11

Jil Sander. Colour blocking is continuing from S/S and being carried out to A/W, as you can see from images above of Jil sanders future collection. You may think I'm crazy but the canary yellow suit is NICE!!

Burberry is even at the colour blocking with this bright Orange military style jacket, which I have to say,
I really am liking.

Velvet played a massive part in many of the designers shows, This fashion week. The above picture is from the D&G show. Staying away from the flash bright colours that Jil Sander and Burberry were using, D&G went with a more muted colour pallet for these velvet suits.

Main line Dolce and Gabbana kept the trend going, this time adding hot pinks and dark blacks to the future trend.

Bottega Veneta went with the beige look, they seemed to find three different shades of beige which will be nice to add a very bright colour to the winter months.

Leather is playing as a massive trend this A/W, before it was all about the leather jacket now men's fashion has taken it further by even making Leather shirts. I have to say I am liking this leather trend alot, maybe its me being fashion forward but I have already invested in a leather waist coat with a blade (the film) twist. The above images are from, on the left Neil Barrett, I am liking his leather top a lot its got a more textured look to it then, Prada's on the right who have gone with the V neck.

Again. Prada has layered up with leather this time, and Neil Barrett has gone for the cable knit leather jumper which I really like I have to say.

Gianfranco Ferre's and Salvatore Ferragamo have recreated the classic trench but in leather. Ferre's ties in at the hip and Ferragamo's at the wasit

Alexander McQueen has gone with the apron look, the knitted top underneath has leather patches all over and I have to say this looks like a work of art! Its just not a practical everyday outfit but its an insane look!
